Ayity-Cost of Life

Haiti is one of the countries that has so many shock factors and natural disasters. For example, they have storms every month, and a few months ago, there was a massive earthquake. Haiti is now trying to recover from the earthquake as fast as possible. Also, the media is getting envolved, feeling pity for them. The media and other indivisuals are taking action to help Haiti to recover. But the problems are, that there are too much difficulties faced by this country, trying to recover. One, is the environment. Haiti is very mountainous, and the soils were already gone when they cut down the trees, trying to develop. Also, it had been through slavery in 17th century under France. In the 19th century, there was war going on. They were in control for 29 years under dectatorship, and there are a lot of violence factors. Haiti also is affected by all the disaster except droughts, including floods, storms and earthquakes. The people in Haiti has very low literacy, only 1% of the Haitian people own all the wealth, and everyone live bundled up together in an ad hoc camp, because they are homeless. There are people living this country(brain drain) because the salaries are higher in other countries, and deadly disease such as Diptheria and Diarrhea exist, because there aren't enough medicine to cure people. Living with so much disadvantages like these, Haiti just can't seem to develop. This also reminds me of the cycle of poverty. The parents are unschooled, they can't earn much money, so kids drop out of school, which leads to lack of education, and then goes to kids working also, and they get unhappy, and unhealthy. End of the life.
